Flower & Plant Care Tips

Fresh Flower Arrangements in Vase:

To extend the life of your fresh flower arrangements, re-cut  the ends of stems about an inch or two at a slant every 2 days and replace water in your vase. Keep flowers in a cool place (between 65-72 degrees) away from direct sunlight.

For loose or wrapped flowers:

Keep flowers in a cool place until you can put them into a vase. Clean vases first with a detergent or antibacterial cleaning solution. Remove leaves that will be below the waterline and re-cut stems one or two inches at a slant. After placing flowers in vase, follow instructions listed above for fresh flower arrangements.

House Plants:

Most, but not all, foliage plants fare better in lower light levels. Try to place plants out of direct sunlight. Most house plants need only 1/2 cup of water a week. Be careful not to overwater plants or allow plants to stand in water. Most plants will do better in cooler conditions-between 65-72 degrees is ideal.
